“We found this beautiful resort on the spur of the moment and booked it right away to lock it in. We had anticipated a late check-in so Susie arranged for our key to be available for us since the office was closed. We had a very clean and comfortable room with all the amenities of a brand new hotel. The property was beautiful, nestled in the mountains of the Tonto National Forest very close to Roosevelt Lake and Dam. There are many visitors that come to stay while they recreate on the lake and the resort allows you to park your towed boat right in front of your room. They’re also a pet Friendly resort but have pet free rooms for those that may be allergic to pets. The price was very fair and the staff were very accommodating to our requests. I will definitely stay here again when I’m in the area next!”

Apache Trail Route
This Trail is currently not passable.
From Apache Junction & Mesa
Take US-60 Freeway through Apache Junction. Turn left on paved State Route 88. Pass Canyon Lake to reach Tortilla Flat. The paved road will turn to dirt shortly thereafter which becomes very narrow, winding through the cliffs where you will eventually pass Apache Lake on the way to Roosevelt Lake. Beware those who have a fear of heights. If you decide to brave it, you will not be disappointed with this magnificently beautiful route to Roosevelt, AZ. Turn right where Hwy. 88 meets Hwy. 188, continuing on pass the Upper Cliff Dwellings and soon you will arrive at Roosevelt Resort on your left.
From Phoenix
These directions are good from West, Central, and East Phoenix. Take Highway 87 (Beeline Highway) north passing Fountain Hills to Highway 188 South through Jake's Corner and Punkin Center to Lake Roosevelt. Remain on Hwy. 188 passing Tonto National Park Indian Ruins and finally arrive at Roosevelt Resort's long winding driveway entrance to your left. Total distance ranges from about 80-120 miles depending on origination point. The farther east you are in the Phoenix area, the shorter the distance. If coming from Scottsdale, take Shea Blvd. to Fountain Hills, then turn left onto Highway 87, following the same directions above.
From Apache Junction & Queen Creek
An all paved option with granite boulder views, take US 60 out of Apache Junction. Past Miami, Arizona and before reaching Globe, Arizona, turn left (North) on Highway 188 heading toward Roosevelt Lake. Globe is a good stopping point to pick up those last minute forgotten travel items. Remain on Hwy. 188 for about 20 minutes where you will arrive at Roosevelt Resort's long winding driveway entrance to your right. You'll see a highway sign 'Roosevelt Lake Resort', then our front entrance sign shortly thereafter. You have arrived at your vacation destination, Roosevelt Resort Park.
